We’ve done away with our old Fax Membership Form (it’s about time right?). From now on, upon renewal you will see an agreement prompt explaining your membership payments that looks like this.

Essentially, it’s the digital equivalent of signing a receipt at the checkout counter.

You can now view your past and current invoices online within your Account tab. Billing history is available for up to two years, and includes pending installments and past payments information against each invoice.

All distributed and matched leads are generated a custom buyer’s guide on FindAccountingSoftware.com. It’s essentially a lead’s home base as they progress through their software review. Each buyer’s guide includes:

Advice articles
Application descriptions
Matched company and product profiles and contact information
Feedback controls (how we gather grade data)

Interview Recording Fix

For the last few months we’ve had an issue with certain interview recordings cutting off when played directly through the browser-player on SellAccountingSoftware.com. As a fix to this, we had let many of you know to save the recording to the desktop and open the file with an alternative media player. This should no longer be necessary.

The bug with the recordings has been resolved and you should be able to listen to recordings directly from the browser without interruption. If you run into any issues or have any questions, please let us know at your convenience.

Update to Grade Calculation

For a while we’ve been reviewing different ideas and suggestions about how to improve incorporation of lead feedback into lead matching. Many of you have provided suggestions and ideas on how we might make changes. Thank you for all your suggestions and comments.

This new method is much simpler and more reflective of your efforts with each lead. Here are the changes:

The new system calculates a match grade score by only counting up to the last ten lead feedbacks received.
The score is recalculated each night and always drops the worst individual feedback prior to the calculation.
The attendance component of lead matching is eliminated.

In addition, leads selected from SellAccountingSoftware after 4pm no longer reset the Days since last match component. This means you can select leads still available on SellAccountingSoftware after 4pm without hampering your ability to get the next competitive lead that is emailed to you in the morning. We consistently have leads still available after 4pm Central each day where we do not find as many software options as the lead wishes to consider. With this change we’re hoping to encourage more of you to review and help this leads out with your software and service

We’ve been testing this new method for a while now and it provides a good improvement in lead matching results. I’m certain that you’ll find these changes beneficial and provide strong members, like you, an improvement in the value of your membership with FindAccountingSoftware.com.

The updates to grade calculation will go into effect starting Friday 5/14/2010.

Today's Leads

This weekend, we performed a network upgrade that affected the distribution of Morning Lead Reports, and access to SellAccountingSoftware.com, for some of our partners. These issues have been resolved, but in the interest of fairness, we are retracting leads distributed this morning (February 8th) and re-distributing them tomorrow.

If you requested a lead this morning, you will need to re-request it tomorrow. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any other problems, please do not hesitate to contact your account representative.

New Year's Update

Happy New Year’s!

Starting Thursday, December 31st we will be out of the office. As many of our partners will be too, no new leads will be made available on Thursday or Friday. Normal lead distribution will resume on Monday, January 4th.

If you’re in the office on Thursday or Friday, feel free to take a look at previously distributed leads to see if there are any you would like to request. You will still be able to request leads that were previously distributed and which have not been fully matched.

Over the past few days, we’ve experienced issues with the availability of lead interview recordings. I’m happy to report that not only has the problem been resolved, but interview recordings are now available in MP3 format. We apologize for any inconvenience the outage may have caused.

Since Wed April 1st Register.com, who we use for DNS service, has been experiencing a Denial of Service attack. This has caused sporadic problems accessing many websites around the world including www.sellaccountingsoftware.com

While we work on a permanent solution to this problem, we’ve come up with a temporary way to improve your access to leads. If you are experiencing problems with access to www.sellaccountingsoftware.com please use this alternate access method for the next few days.

Both alternate URLs end up at the sellaccountingsoftware.com domain and bypasses the DNS issues going on with Register.com.

Updated Schedule for New Year's Week

By popular demand and in order to make sure all partners have an opportunity to request leads, leads that would have been distributed Friday, January 2nd will be distributed on Monday, January 5th. Consequently, there will be no leads distributed December 31st, January 1st and January 2nd. The Sell Accounting Software offices will be closed on New Year’s Eve Day and New Year’s Day. Our office will be open on Friday, January 2nd. As always, you are welcome to select previously distributed leads at any time.

Holiday Lead Distribution Calendar

Due to inclement whether our offices were partially closed for much of Friday, December 19th. Consequently there will be no new leads available for Monday, December 22nd. New leads will be available on Tuesday, December 23rd, as per usual.

As many business will not have staff in the office starting Wednesday, December 24th, there will be no new leads distributed from December 24 - 26. New leads will again be available on Monday, December 29th.
